Nicky moved to Don Valley in the close season after leaving Championship outfit Sheffield United. The midfielder made his debut for the Blades in a League Cup game at Reading but started his first league match in the Premier League at home to Manchester United. Nicky enjoyed a loan spell at Yeovil in 2007 and also had two spells on loan at Bradford City where he impressed for the Bantams as they narrowly missed out on the play-offs. Nicky is a quality performer who can operate in the centre or on the right of midfield and also excels at dead ball situations.
