Reuben Reid signed for the Millers after three impressive pre-season outings on trial, which included a stunning strike in the victory over Scunthorpe. His career started on the South coast with Plymouth Argyle, and in just under three years at Home Park he made 12 senior appearances. To further his football education he was sent out on loan several times, with his most productive loan spell coming at Torquay where he scored two goals in four starts. Rueben left Plymouth for good in February 2008 and had a short spell with Brentford, scoring just once in 10 appearances. Reuben is a strong forward with plenty of pace and if his pre-season is anything to go by he will be an excellent capture for the Millers.
