Tom became the Millers joint record signing when he moved from Crewe Alexandra in the summer for £150,000.
He began his career at non-league Biddulph before moving to Crewe in 2006.
After being loaned out to Barrow he established himself in the Alex side, scoring 10 goals despite relegation to League Two. An all action centre forward, he started his first season with the Millers in style netting twice against West Brom in a League Cup tie at the Hawthorns.
He netted again in the next game at Macclesfield but injury forced him out of the side just when he was gaining momentum.
He returned with some typical hard working performances in attack but missed the back end of the campaign after breaking his metatarsal in training.
