A product of Rotherham United's impressive youth system, Stephen is a highly rated versatile player who can occupy a number of different positions. In his short Millers career he has excelled playing full back, left wing and in central midfield. Last season he made 29 league appearances before his season was curtailed after he sustained a double leg fracture in a collision in the match against MK Dons. Last season Stephen was given the extra responsibility of being the club's penalty taker and he was successful from 12 yards in the games against Morecambe and Forest Green.
