Mark Robins moved to sign former Oldham midfielder Jason Taylor in the 2009 January transfer window on a free transfer from Stockport County. Taylor is a tenacious and determined performer who is noted for his industrious work at the heart of the midfield. He was a regular for Stockport during their promotion season in the 2007/2008 campaign but moved to Don Valley after falling out of favour in the following season. He has forged is way into the Millers starting 11 after a solid pre-season and will be looking to add to his first goal scored against Morecambe at the back end of last season.
