Preview v Dag & Red

Posted on: Fri 27 Jan 2012

The Millers make the long journey south tomorrow to Victoria Road to take on 23rd place Dagenham and Redbridge.

Andy Scott's side will be looking to get their push for the top seven back on track after slipping to a 1-0 defeat against Port Vale at Don Valley last Saturday. The Daggers meanwhile have lost their last three outings in League Two, with their last win coming against Gillingham in late December.

Last time the two sides met was earlier this season at Don Valley where the Millers managed a 3-1 win in early September. In this same fixture two seasons ago the Millers again came out on top winning 1-0, however, later in the same season Dagenham secured promotion from League Two by beating the Millers 3-2 in the play-off final.

Scott's squad will be boosted by the arrival of Crystal Palace winger Kieron Cadogan on loan earlier this week and an impressive debut from full-back Scott Griffiths last weekend may see him keep his place in the starting line-up.

Former Millers' loanee Exodus Geohaghon is on loan with John Still's side from Darlington but has only made one appearance for the Daggers since joining them in November.

Brian Woodall and Jon Nurse are the top scorers for the Daggers with a total of seven goals each in all competitions.
