Millers v Robins - Preview

Posted on: Fri 20 Aug 2010

Rotherham United will look to extend their unbeaten league run to three matches with a home game against Cheltenham Town tomorrow afternoon.

The Millers have made a positive start to the new campaign with four points from six games, whilst the Robins have been equally impressive matching the Millers after a draw against Gillingham and a 3-2 victory over Crewe.

Ronnie Moore has an injury doubt over on loan striker Tom Elliott whilst he is still without long term absentees Dale Tonge, Tom Pope and Ryan Taylor. Nick Fenton is also unavailable but Johnny Mullins is making progress but is unlikely to be considered for tomorrow's game.

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates is without centre-half Martin Riley (hamstring) meaning full-back Keith Lowe could deputise. David Bird and Andy Gallinagh are competing to take Lowe's regular place while youngster Theo Lewis is back in full training after illness.

The last time the two sides met in league competition was April last season when both sides played out a 0-0 draw. The last time the Millers triumphed over the Robins was back in 2000 when goals by Darren Garner and Jason White secured a 2-0 win.

Overall the two teams have met six times in league competition with the Millers winning twice, the Robins winning twice and two games have ended in a draw.
