After surrendering the chance to move into the League Two's automatic promotion zone with the disappointing midweek away defeat, Rotherham United return to home action looking to make amends in a crucial six-pointer as they welcome fourth-placed Bury to Don Valley Stadium.
Despite remaining in sixth in the table with that disappointing 2-1 loss to Accrington Stanley the Millers are still just two points adrift of the top three and their opponents, however they do have the advantage of a game in hand over the Shakers and although defeat would put a big dent in their promotion challenge a win would certainly put the Millers in a strong position.
Boss Ronnie Moore could welcome back duo Gavin Gunning and Jamie Green for the crunch clash. Having recovered from injuries the pair featured for the reserves against Bradford City this week and will be in contention for a place in the squad. Stephen Brogan is struggling with a foot injury and will not be available for selection. Paul Warne (ankle) and Andy Liddell (achilles) remain sidelined.
Bury arrive at Don Valley in fourth place but without a win in their last five games. The Shakers have a good away record this season but it has faltered of late, with Alan Knill's side only taking one point from their last three away games. The goals have also dried up recently for Bury with just two goals in their last seven games, both coming from striker Ryan Lowe.
It's the visitors that have the upper hand down the years with 31 wins over the Millers in all competitions. Rotherham have triumphed 23 times, whilst 13 games have ended in a draw.
