After ending a run of five games without a win last Saturday, the Millers make the short trip to Valley Parade to play Stuart McCall's Bradford City.
Rotherham's 3-2 victory over Lincoln City ended the Millers worst run of form of the season and it was the first time they have gone five games without a win since April and May of last season. The game against Lincoln was also the first time that the Millers have scored more than once in a league fixture since the 12th January, ironically the opposition on that day was once again Lincoln. The goal scored by Mark Hudson on Saturday was his sixth goal of the campaign and it his best goal return for a season in his career to date. Marc Newsham also got on the score sheet on Saturday and he took his goal tally to four for the season, which is also his best return of goals in a season.
The last time the Millers made the journey to Valley Parade was in September 2006. Rotherham took the lead in the first half through Will Hoskins but a Dean Windass equaliser 15 minutes from time ensured that the points were shared, despite Hoskins seeing red late on. From the players who started that game in a Rotherham shirt only Ian Sharps and Pablo Mills are still with the club.
The last time the Millers won at Valley Parade was in December 2005 after goals from Lee Williamson and Deon Burton gave Rotherham a 2-1 victory. Dean Windass scored the Bantams consolation from the penalty spot. Rotherham are undefeated on their last three visits to Bradford with their last defeat coming in September 2002. The two teams have played each other 56 times in league football with the Millers winning 28 games, the Bantams winning 19 matches and nine games have been drawn.
Bradford ended a run of two league defeats on the spin when they defeated Notts County 3-1 on Saturday. Peter Thorne got the Bantams first goal and the striker has now scored three goals in his last three outings and has 10 goals in all competitions for the season. Bradford have been in better form on home soil this season and their record at Valley Parade is the 11th best home record in League Two. The Bantams have been well backed with average crowds of 13, 724, which are the highest average gates in League Two this season.
Bradford have two former Rotherham United players in their squad and both could feature against the Millers in tomorrow's game. Barry Conlon played for the Millers in a loan spell in late 2005 making four appearances and scoring once, whilst Paul Evans also had a loan spell at Millmoor around the same time making five appearances in all competitions scoring one goal.
