Rotherham United will entertain Wrexham on Saturday looking to start the busy Christmas period with a home win.

Last Saturday's postponed fixture against Bradford City did not alter the Millers position in League Two, leaving Rotherham in fifth place just one point off the automatic promotion positions. Rotherham's home form was dented slightly with the defeat against Rochdale but it is still the fourth best in League Two. The Millers will be hoping that striker Ryan Taylor will be available again after he came off injured in the away win at Chesterfield. The Millers only other doubt for Saturday's game is midfielder Peter Holmes, who is struggling with a hamstring problem. The other long term absentee is goalkeeper Steven Cann, who is continuing his rehabilitation.

Wrexham are struggling in 23rd position in the table but have been boosted by the arrival of manager Brian Little. Since the former Leicester, Hull, Aston Villa and Tranmere boss took the reigns the Welsh club have improved and in the five games he has been charge they have won one, drawn two and lost two. Wrexham's away form in League Two this season has been poor; they have won just twice all season against Accrington Stanley and Bury. Their away record this season is currently the third worst in the division.

The last time Wrexham visited Millmoor was in 2001 and it was an unhappy visit to South Yorkshire. The Millers won the game 2-0 with the first goal coming on the stroke of half time from Alan Lee and second goal coming in the 64th minute from defender Brian Wilsterman. The last time Wrexham won at Millmoor was in 1996, when a goal from Stephen Morris was enough to take all three points back to the Racecourse Ground.

Overall the two sides have played each other 71 times in the League with the Millers winning 23 games, Wrexham winning 32 and 16 matches ending in a draw.

Wrexham could include former Miller Michael Proctor in their team on Saturday. Proctor has found the net six times so far this season in his 18 appearances for Wrexham in all competitions.
