There's yet another new arrival to announce at Rotherham United today with the acquisition of defender Pablo Mills.

The 22-year-old successfully came through a medical examination this lunchtime after spending a couple of days training with the Millers.

Born in Birmingham, he started his career as a trainee at Derby County and he went on to make 63 league and cup appearances for the Rams where his contract expired in May.

Last season Pablo played 17 times on loan at Milton Keynes scoring one goal and he played there from the end of August to 1st January.

He then had another loan spell in League One this time at Walsall for whom he signed in early February and he remained there until the end of the season playing in 14 league games. Pablo becomes the Millers sixth summer signing.

The newcomer commented: "I am happy to be here at Rotherham United as it's a fresh start for me and a fresh start for the club as well. Hopefully the only way for the club now is forward.

"I know quite a lot about this division as I played in it for MK Dons and Walsall last season so it won't be unusual for me. The minus ten points start hasn't put me off at all as I have been training with the lads for a couple of days now and I can see we have a good squad.

"The average age has come down quite a lot as we seem to have a number of young players now so the only way for the club is forward.

"I don't consider that I have just one personal strength, I like to think I am a good leader and I like to win games, I am pretty passionate about winning. My main position is the centre of defence although I have also played in centre midfield.

"I try to get the odd goal here and there and hopefully my first match action for my new club will be on Saturday at Grantham. But I can't wait for the start of the season, I just want to get started for Rotherham United.
