In view of reported stories issued in the Southend press following the hearing on the Jamal Campbell-Ryce situation, here is an extract from the Rotherham United Board of directors' programme notes for this Saturday's game against Brentford:
"The long running Jamal Campbell-Ryce affair with Southend United was settled last week and we have signed confidentiality papers that prevent us from revealing the exact figure. A lot have been bandied about but not too much notice should be taken from them.
We will never be able to reveal the exact figure but we are very happy with the outcome. The figure of £30,000 is absolutely ludicrous."
