There has been a slight easing of Rotherham United's financial strains with the news that Jamal Campbell-Ryce has joined Colchester United on loan until the end of the season with the deal being clinched just ahead of the 5pm deadline today.

The Millers have been in dispute with Southend United since the beginning of the year but the latest move does not resolve the matter with the Shrimpers who should still be liable to pay the original agreed transfer figure.
