After successfully completing a trial spell, Rotherham United midfielder Paolo Vernazza has joined Barnet on loan until 1st January with a view to making the deal a permanent one after that date.

He will be included in their squad for their League Two clash against Torquay United this weekend and manager Paul Fairclough said: "This could be the turning point of his career - it could be a new beginning. He has a key to unlock defensive doors and there is no doubt about his technical ability.

But Paolo has to show a physical side to his game."
