A magnificent display of swift attacking football saw the Millers wipe the floor with their Midland counterparts Walsall as they showed the first team how to play attacking football to record their first league win of the season in the Pontin's Holidays League.
They went close in the fourth minute when a will Hoskins shot was deflected over the bar for a corner and then Paul McLaren wasn't far off the target with a fine shot from 20 yards.
Hoskins put another effort into the side netting before Rotherham took a well deserved 32nd minute lead thanks to a superb individual effort from Stephen Brogan.
He battled to win the ball in the penalty area and held off a couple of challenges to fire the ball home confidently and a few minutes later Phil Gilchrist's shot went just wide.
On the stroke of half time Barry Conlon delivered a great ball to Hoskins but he fired wide to waste a great chance.
But it didn't prove costly as the Millers demoralised Walsall in the second half thanks to some slick and quick attacking play.
They went two up on 51 minutes when Conlon headed home a good cross from Jon Otsemobor before Cutler pulled off a great save to keep out a Nicholls header.
But then Rotherham took total command as they constantly ripped open the visiting defence and Brogan sliced his shot wide from a good position on 65 minutes.
Then Liam King headed wide from a corner and Marc Newsham hit a shot over the bar when he should have done better from excellent build up play by Sam Duncum.
Hoskins headed just wide before the floodgates opened with a third goal on 75 minutes.
Hoskins delivered a fine pass to Lee Whittington and he netted with a superb shot from the edge of the penalty area and two minutes later Duncum added a fourth following a brilliant link up with Hoskins and Newsham.
The fifth goal came on 87 minutes, Whittington sent Otsemobor away down the right and Brogan was on hand to convert his low cross.
Still the Millers hadn't finished and they made it six a minute later when Duncum was on hand to convert Whittington's accurate pass to put the seal on a magnificent display of attacking football.
