Ronnie praise for evergreen Warne

Posted on: Tue 31 Aug 2010

Ronnie Moore sang the praises of striker Paul Warne after the veteran front man netted the only goal in the 1-0 win at Hereford United.

Warne was selected from the start after an injury to Tom Elliott in midweek and showed his predatory instincts were still intact netting the winner just before half-time.

"It was a good goal," said Ronnie.

"We showed some quick thinking with the throw-in and then he has got his head on it in the six yard box. Warney gives you everything when he plays and you would never think that he was 37. He was everywhere on Saturday, he chased the ball, harried defenders and eventually just ran out of steam towards the end of the game."

The game was Warne's first start and goal of the new season and he will be looking for more as the Millers entertain Lincoln City tomorrow night at Don Valley, kick-off 7.45pm.

There is a full post match interview with Ronnie in audio mode after every game and in a visual mode the following day that can only be accessed through Millers Player.
