Former Rotherham United forward Alex Rhodes has signed for Blue Square Premier side Oxford United following his recent release by the Millers.

Rhodes was one of nine players who were released by Millers manager Mark Robins and he has wasted no time in finding a new club.

Oxford are currently managed by former Miller Chris Wilder, and upon Rhodes' arrival he told the official Oxford United website:

"Alex will give us natural balance, pace, and options on the left. I have kept track of his career for the last two years and he is an exciting player to watch. He will give us that attacking width on the left."
