Mark Robins was a happy manager after the Millers entered positive points for the first time this season after a 4-1 win over Grimsby Town.

Robins was delighted with his sides second half display after the Millers went in at half time a goal down:

"We came out for the second half a transformed team, said Robins.

"We imposed ourselves on the opposition, we passed the ball much better and closed them down, which is something that we didn't do in the first half.

He continued:

"If it wasn't for the points deduction then we would be third in the League but now we are into positive points our season starts here."

Robins was full of praise for his goal scorers after Reuben Reid, Micky Cummins, Mark Hudson and Richie Barker all found the net in the second half:

"Alex Rhodes put in a great cross for the first goal and that is the first time I have seen Reuben head the ball but it was an excellent header, he said.

"I was pleased to see the two midfielders get on the score sheet for the first time and then I was delighted to see Richie come off the bench to get his goal."

The Millers were without midfielder Danny Harrison but Robins revealed that it is only a minor injury:

"Danny's injury isn't too serious, he said.

"He has a hamstring strain that will probably keep him out for around a week."

The Millers boss also urged the club's supporters to continue to back the team after some booed the players off at half time:

"In the first half we did not give the supporters anything to cheer about but I would like to see them get behind us rather than boo us at half time, he said.

"I understand that we have to play well to get their backing and in the second half we did and as soon as they got behind us and it was like having a 12th man which gave us a lift."

Robins will now turn his attention to Wednesday night's live game in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Leeds United:

"Today was an important win and now we can go into the game against Leeds and enjoy it, said Robins.

"We need to make sure that this is the start of our season because up to now we have been playing catch-up. We cannot afford to stand still at this point so we need to kick on and push further up the league."
