Nicholas settles in at Don Valley
Rotherham United's latest recruit Andy Nicholas has impressed in his short spell at Don Valley, helping his side to a win in the Carling Cup, and starring in the battling draw at Brentford.
The left back has settled well into his new surroundings and he told www.themillers.co.uk how much he is enjoying life in South Yorkshire:
"I have only been here for a short time but so far it is going really well, the lads have been tremendous which has made settling into the club very easy, said the 24-year-old.
"Training has been very enjoyable and we are doing well in the games so that has created a great atmosphere amongst the players and staff."
Nicholas joined the Millers on free after his release in the close season by Swindon and he revealed that he chose Rotherham despite interest from other clubs:
"I spoke to different people and there were other offers on the table but once I spoke to the manager here, and discussed the contract, there was no other place I wanted to be, he said.
"The move to Rotherham was perfect for me and I have enjoyed being in the team and playing again, which has allowed me to concentrate solely on my football."
Nicholas will be hoping to be involved again when the Millers travel to Chesterfield on Saturday, and you can read a full interview with the defender in the next issue of the Miller available for the home game against Rochdale, September 13th.
