Rotherham United manager Mark Robins was fuming after watching his team beaten 3-0 at Bury and he blasted: "It was absolute garbage, it was the worst performance I have seen and that includes the Accrington Stanley game that was inept.

"I am embarrassed and I think that tonight proved that we are not good enough, we are a million miles from being good enough. That was against a team that are looking at relegation and we looked like relegation fodder, it was embarrassing and it has to be sorted out.

"I would rather play the kids than watch that, it was that poor tonight. I feel for the supporters who had travelled and I apologise on behalf of myself and the players. I am annoyed because I shouldn't be having to do that.

"Players are paid to do a job so they should go out and do it and when they fall that short of doing it's then it is a disgrace.

"We controlled the first 15 or 20 minutes and we looked like we were going to keep the ball in their half but again one mistake and the ball is in the back of our net. We looked hesitant and tentative. As soon as the ball goes in our net we are on the back foot and we look nervous that threads through the team like a plague.

""It's a big worry and concern, that just isn't good enough. I can't put my finger on why it has gone so wrong as we do everything we can do to give them every chance to play. The buck stops with me but I have to get better performances out of the players.

"They played as if they don't care and I know that's not true. It has to stop and the only way to get out of this is work hard and in the right areas. We have to get back to doing that quickly.

"That is totally unacceptable and it is very difficult to defend that performance. I will have to wait and see what the team for Saturday will be, I have to assess things. That is unacceptable.

"I will think about extra training. We lacked application, fight and enthusiasm, we weren't up for it and that level of performance just cannot be accepted."
