Rotherham United will be looking to extend their winning run in the League to seven matches when they travel to Saltergate to play Chesterfield on Wednesday night.

Rotherham are now unbeaten in nine League games and the recent win over Shrewsbury Town has moved the Millers into third place in League Two, just two points off top spot. Both sides are in excellent form with the Millers leading the current form table which covers the last eight League games, Chesterfield are not far behind sitting in fourth place. Rotherham have not lost on the road since the end of September, which was the 2-0 defeat to Barnet that was also the Millers last defeat in the League. Overall the Millers away form this season is the seventh best in League Two.

Chesterfield are currently sixth in League Two, just three points behind the Millers. The Spireites are undefeated in their last eight League Two fixtures, and are fresh from their win over League leaders Milton Keynes Dons. The Millers will be buoyed by Chesterfield's poor home form, despite their lofty League position they have not won at home since the 1st of September. That was a 3-1 win over Bury, which is one of just two home wins all season. Overall the Spireites home form is only the 15th best in League Two this season.

The last time Rotherham travelled to Saltergate was in 2006. On that occasion the Millers were beaten 2-1, with Will Hoskins getting the Rotherham goal, former Miller Paul Shaw scored the winner for Chesterfield. The last time Rotherham won at Saltergate was in 2005, when a Martin Butler strike was enough to give the Millers a 1-0 win. Overall the two sides have played 56 times in the League, with Rotherham winning 10 times, Chesterfield winning 36 times and 10 games have been drawn.

Chesterfield could include former Miller Gregor Robertson in their team. This will be the first time Gregor has played against his old club since he left to join Chesterfield in the summer. Overall Gregor played 56 times for Rotherham scoring one goal in all competitions.
