Rotherham United bounced back from Tuesday's disappointing defeat to earn a credible 0-0 draw against unbeaten Wycombe Wanderers.

In a game of few clear chances the Millers were thankful to 'keeper Andy Warrington for their point when he made a smart second half save to deny Matt Harrold when the Wycombe striker was clear on goal.

Rotherham had the first chance of a scrappy opening when Pablo Mills tried his luck from 30 yards but his effort sailed over Scott Shearer's crossbar. In the 6th minute Wycombe registered their first effort of the game when Chris Zebroski shot over from eight yards out following a goalmouth scramble.

Following a lull in the game the Millers then had the best chance of the half when debutant Omar Garcia flashed a shot over the bar from a Dale Tonge cross. On 23 minutes the Millers lost Reuben Reid after an awkward fall which resulted in the striker being stretchered off and being replaced by Alex Rhodes.

As a result of the injury Rotherham lost their momentum and it was Wycombe who almost took the lead in the 35th minute when Craig Woodman's cross found Simon Church who shot over under pressure from Ian Sharps and Nick Fenton.

The Millers made a positive start to the second half with Wycombe having Shearer to thank for keeping the scores level. The Chairboys 'keeper lept to his left to make a sharp diving stop following a header by Micky Cummins and then had the presence of mind to claim the re-bound.

On the hour the Millers carved out another opportunity when Rhodes forced Shearer into another save after a cross by Mills. Two minutes later Wycombe had the ball in the net when Harrold's knockdown was touched in by Church but he was denied by the offside flag.

With 20 minutes remaining Andy Nicholas latched onto a loose ball on the edge of the area before unleashing a firm shot that was just over Shearer's crossbar. Shortly after the Millers lost Fenton through injury and the defender was replaced by Marc Joseph. With nine minutes left on the watch Wycombe almost snatched the points when a misplaced pass by Tonge fell into the path of Harrold but Warrington saved the day to grant the Millers a well earned point.
