Rotherham United failed to equal the club record for consecutive away wins after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Barnet.
Paul Furlong grabbed a brace for the home side in the second half to ease their relegation fears and send the Millers back to South Yorkshire pointless.
The first half was a scrappy affair with neither team stamping their authority on the game.
Barnet made the first opportunity of the half when Neal Bishop found top scorer John O'Flynn but the striker shot wide of the target. The Millers first chance of the game came on 13 minutes when Mark Burchill found a yard of space 20 yards out but his effort was seen wide of the far post by Bees' 'keeper Jake Cole.
A minute later and the League Two Player of the Month for March Reuben Reid tried his luck from distance but his low drive was easily dealt with by Cole. On 17 minutes Drewe Broughton showed quick thinking inside the area when with his back to goal he shot on the turn but his effort was wide of the far post.
The best chance of the half fell to the home side when O'Flynn headed a cross by Albert Adomah towards the top corner but Andy Warrington leapt across goal to claw the ball out.
That would prove to be O'Flynn's last major contribution to the game when on 27 minutes he came off injured and was replaced by Adam Birchall.
The Millers had Nick Fenton to thank for keeping the scores level after a mazy run towards goal by Bishop was halted by the centre half just before the Bees' midfielder pulled the trigger.
Before the break Reid had a low shot saved at the near post and Broughton curled an effort over as the Millers went into the interval level.

Broughton came close to giving the Millers the lead on 52 minutes when after some hesitation in the Barnet defence he nipped the ball away from the advancing Cole but wide of the post.
A minute later the lively Adomah raided down the right and his dangerous centre just eluded the advancing Furlong. The Millers threatened again soon after when Pablo Mills played a one two with Jason Taylor but his drive from 20 yards was well wide.
With 20 minutes remaining Burchill darted down the right and squared to Broughton who hit a ferocious strike which was brilliantly saved by Cole. Moments later Warrington was called into action saving at the near post after a shot by Adomah.
Despite the earlier save Warrington was left powerless in the 70th minute when Barnet took the lead. Veteran striker Furlong showed superb technique to create room with his back to goal and after he put the ball through Ian Sharps' legs he finished neatly into the bottom corner.
The Millers responded well to going behind and almost levelled when Dale Tonge crossed from the right to find Broughton who headed narrowly wide.
With 10 minutes remaining the Bees sealed the victory when Joe Devera made progress down the right before crossing for Furlong who headed in past a helpless Warrington.
It could have been more late on when Adomah sprinted clear down the right but his shot was deflected over the bar.
