Ronnie Moore heaped praise on his Rotherham United players despite the Millers falling to their first league defeat at Shrewsbury Town.
A goal on five minutes from Lionel Ainsworth secured the points for the home side but Ronnie couldn't fault the performance of his side, who peppered the Shrewsbury goal throughout the second half.
"I thought that the lads were fantastic to be honest," said Ronnie in his post match press conference.
"The players have given everything and I cannot fault their performance. We paid for five minutes of madness when we never started in the first half and gave away a really sloppy goal. After that Andy Warrington hasn't had too much to do and I was really pleased with our passing. In the second half we absolutely pulverised them, it was like the Alamo. How they have got out of jail I do not know but the 'keeper has made six or seven world class saves. The lads gave their all and if we can produce that week in, week out then we will not be too far away."
Tom Elliott was withdrawn just after half time through injury but Ronnie was full of praise for his replacement, Paul Warne.
"Warney has come on and got on the ball," added Ronnie.
"He came on and put their defence under pressure, he also won more headers in the time he was on. I was really pleased with Warney's contribution. When he came on he passed and moved but we just didn't get the break."
There is a full post match interview with Ronnie in audio mode after every game, and in a visual mode on Monday that can only be accessed through Millers Player.
