Ronnie Moore was a very proud manager this evening after his Rotherham United side made the League Two Play-Off final after a 3-0 aggregate win over Aldershot Town.
The Millers won 2-0 on the night at a packed Don Valley after goals from Adam Le Fondre and Kevin Ellison secured the Millers passage to Wembley.
"It was absolutely fantastic, one of my best nights," said a jubilant Ronnie after the game.
"The crowd got right behind us; we got the goals at the right time, against a very good Aldershot side. It was a tremendous result to beat them over two legs, just fantastic."
Le Fondre netted his 30th goal in all competitions just before half time and the lead was no more than the Millers deserved after an excellent first half showing.
"It was a great header back by Ian Sharps at the back post and Alfie got in there," admitted Ronnie.
"We played some good football for the second goal, Kevin's headed it down and it bounced in and then the game was won.
"We defended well and we took the game to them at times. The players have given their all and worked their socks off, you cannot ask anymore. We need to remember that we have done nothing; all we have done is get to Wembley. We have got half the job right tonight; we have to put the other half together now. We have given ourselves a real chance and if you are ever going to win promotion then it is going to Wembley and going up through the play-offs."
Ronnie also reserved special praise for the fans after a Rotherham United Don Valley record of 7,082 turned out for the second leg.
"The fans were brilliant to be fair to them," continued Ronnie.
"It was fantastic, I have experienced that kind of atmosphere here before in my early days but there was so much at stake tonight and the supporters really showed they wanted it as much as we did."
