Rotherham United Community Sports Trust showed its support for Deaf Blind Awareness Week with Disability Officer Leon Wormley completing his British Sign Language (BSL) course and attending the Sense Fair.
Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. They provide expert advice and information as well as specialist services to deafblind people and their families. In addition, Sense supports people who have sensory impairments with additional disabilities.
Leon has spent the last few months working towards completing his BSL qualification. Leon said "it takes a lot of time and effort to learn any new language, the BSL course has been hard work, but also a lot of fun. This new skill will enable the Millers' Sports Trust to engage with more young people."
The Millers' donated a signed Rotherham United football for the raffle at the Sense Fair.
