Youngsters hit for '6' after visit to Headingley

Posted on: Thu 10 Jun 2010

Millers' Health Officer Alex Wilson and Cohesion Officer Mark Cummins used an away day to bring together boys and girls from opposite ends of the Rotherham borough.

Young people from the Wath and Thornhill areas went to watch Yorkshire play a Twenty20 Cup match against Derbyshire at Headingley.

Mark said: "The group proved there was no 'boundary' to cohesion and working together with people from different backgrounds."

Alex said: "I've been 'bowled over' by the youngster's efforts to connect with each other and enjoy the day."

Sadly Yorkshire lost out in the match to a great batting display from Derbyshire, but this didn't detract from a good day out.
