Andy's two years as goalkeeping coach at Peterborough United saw two promotions, a major factor in Ronnie Moore's decision to bring him to Rotherham United.
The well travelled goalkeeper had a storied career that saw him gain three caps for Wales and spend a considerable amount of time in the Premier League. After spells early on in his career with Luton Town, where he saved a penalty to help the Hatters defeat Arsenal to lift the League Cup, and Cardiff City, Andy moved to Manchester City in 1988, where he spent nine years.
After a number of loan spells away from the club, he rejoined Luton, followed by moves to Rangers and Sheffield United.
After his departure from Kenilworth Road, Andy signed short term deals with Middlesbrough, Altrincham, Barry Town and Hartlepool before signing for Stockport County in 2000. He moved to Wrexham in 2002 where he had a prolonged spell in the first team before finishing his career with Accrington Stanley.
Andy has had coaching experience at Accrington and Coventry City before leaving to join Peterborough United.
