Defender joins Rotherham...

Rotherham United have today agreed a deal to sign former Premier League defender Mat Sadler, subject to Football League clearance.

Sadler, who spent two seasons at Crawley Town, playing every game in his first year, and scoring in their defeat to the Millers back in August has put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract at New York Stadium.

The defender, 29, began his career with Birmingham City where he made his debut in the Premier League before moving onto Watford for close to £1million and Walsall, with a trio of loan spells in between.

As well as a wealth of experience at domestic level in the second tier, the Birmingham-born full-back has represented England at several youth levels up to Under-19.

Check back to www.themillers.co.uk for full reaction to the signing including a full interview with Mat, and reaction from Paul Raynor.
