Steve Evans talks to Millers Player...

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans is hopeful on having injured trio Craig Morgan, Danny Ward and Paul Green available for this weekend’s clash with Wigan Athletic.

Skipper Morgan has missed the last three games with a knee injury whilst Green and Ward were late casulties before last Saturday’s 2-0 success at Huddersfield Town.

Boss Evans revealed that Morgan has trained this week whilst he remains confident that Green and Ward could also feature against Malky Mackay’s Wigan at AESSEAL New York tomorrow afternoon.

“We expect him to be fit,” Evans said of Morgan.

“I like to see the players come through the Friday training session and know that they have been at their maximum. Craig has been with the group this week and has done really well.

“We are hopeful with Greeny and Wardy. Wardy gives us the option of putting him through the middle with Derbs (Matt Derbyshire) where he had two goals in two games. We are hopeful on all three.”

Meanwhile, Adam Hammill will return to the matchday squad after he missed the game with his parent club.

“A couple of times coming off the bench Adam Hammill has simply been stunning, and the kid is desperate to start a football match,” added Evans.

“We have some further options this week available to us which is great.”
