Rotherham United have signed Crawley Town winger Nicky Adams...

Rotherham United have completed the deadline day signing of Nicky Adams for an undisclosed fee from Crawley Town.

Boss Steve Evans swooped for his sixth January signing after a fee was agreed last night, with Adams putting pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal at club headquarters at New York Stadium this afternoon.

The 27-year-old winger played against the Millers for Crawley Town last weekend in the 2-2 draw at New York Stadium.

He started his career with Bury before earning a £100,000 transfer to Leicester City in 2008.

After loan spells with Rochdale and tomorrow’s opponents Leyton Orient he made a permanent switch to Brentford in 2010. After a short spell in London he joined Rochdale where his form alerted the attention of Crawley who signed him in 2012.

Nicky has been assigned the number 37 shirt for the Millers.
