Rotherham United ballboy Josh Gaze has another pair of boots to add to his collection after he received Chris Gunter’s pair from the Millers win over Reading.

Josh sustained a knee injury after he was involved in a first half collision when on loan defender Danny Lafferty and Gunter collided in the corner of the pitch at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

A number of players and staff from both teams checked up on Josh’s condition after the game, with Lafferty giving him his match worn boots amidst the post-match celebrations and after a delivery from the postman shortly after the fixture he now has another pair to add to his growing collection.

Reading FC made contact with the Millers following the game, with Gunter expressing his concern about Josh’s injury. Following dialogue between the two clubs the Royals’ defender made it clear that he would like to give the Millers’ ballboy a pair of his boots which he then sent to AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Rotherham United would like to thank Chris Gunter for his kind gesture and once again wish Josh all the best in his recovery from his injury.
