The Millers make their second and third signings of the day...

Rotherham United have completed the loan signings of Premier League duo Tony Andreu and Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe from Norwich City, subject to Football League ratification.

The Millers concluded a busy day of transfer activity by landing the duo just seconds before the window slammed shut.

Andreu and Odjidja-Ofoe join permanent new recruit Lee Camp at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Boss Steve Evans has bolstered his squad with three Premier League signings, on a busy day for the Millers manager who landed his top targets for the transfer window.

“Both lads have been on my radar for some time and I am again delighted that despite a lot of interest in securing them we have brought them to Rotherham United,” Evans told www.themillers.co.uk

“Tony Andreu is a very talented player, one who has a superb goalscoring record. He is a player who can play as a main striker or indeed one who supports a lone striker or two. He is always looking to be creative in the final third of the pitch whilst he retains a self discipline to work extremely hard for the team.

“Vadis is an exciting talent and a player we look forward to working with, he is a full Belgian international.  In last weeks Capital One Cup match here versus Norwich City; this lad was by far the best player on show. Our supporters who attended that evening will recall his dynamic movement, his pace and power and undoubted technical ability.

“I must at this stage thank my good friend Alex Neil for his help as I know that as the manager of Norwich City he had several options in the Championship for both these lads separately, and moving as a partnership. My first task in bringing both the lads to the Millers was to convince Alex Neil that a period of time at Rotherham United in the Sky Bet Championship would allow both players to return to Carrow Road in due course, and play for the Canaries in the Premier League.

“Both players must now join us and work hard to secure their place in the team. There is no doubt that it helped immensely in their decision to join us, in that they played at the AESSEAL New York Stadium only last week.”
