The Millers are backing Non-League Day...

The international break will see Rotherham United support Non League Day in their absence of a first team fixture over this weekend.

The Millers will be out of action before returning to the Sky Bet Championship battle against Brentford on Saturday 17th October, and are urging supporters to get out and support their local teams during the break.

The campaign has gathered steam over previous seasons with fans flocking to their local grounds with the Millers away on international duty and will once again backing the initiative to promote football from grass roots level.

“Following the record-breaking event last year, Non-League Day will return for a sixth consecutive season on Saturday 10th October 2015,” Non-League Day’s Ian Bailey explained.

“Non-League Day provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of volunteer led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local non-league side.”

The initiative will also see the club backing the Men United campaign for the second year in a row, Non-League Day has partnered with Prostate Cancer UK - the Official Charity Partner of The Football League - to encourage clubs and fans to 'pledge their allegiance' to the campaign.

Teams local to Rotherham United who are scheduled to be at home that day include: Hallam, Worsbrough Bridge and Rossington Main, also see http://www.nonleagueday.co.uk/map.html to locate matches near to you.
