Jack Hunt recently spoke to Millers Matchday...

Marauding full-back Jack Hunt has called on his Rotherham United side to develop a siege mentality as they enter the make-or-break phase of their Championship campaign.

The Crystal Palace loanee put pen-to-paper on a loan deal with the Millers until the end of the season after spending the early part of the campaign at Championship rivals Nottingham Forest, for whom he made 19 appearances.

The Leeds-born defender has endured a difficult start to his spell at the AESSEAL New York Stadium with illness delaying his Millers debut before a nasty knee injury brought a premature end to his first start in a Rotherham jersey during the six-goal thriller with Derby County.

However, Hunt has returned to claim a first-team place and the highly-rated defender is excited at the prospect of playing a leading role as the Millers' fight tooth and nail to preserve their Championship status.

"You come out on loan to get games and make an impression and that's what I'm trying to do," he insisted.

"I've had an injury and illness and not played as much as I wanted but hopefully that's behind me now and hopefully I can rack up a lot of games between now and the end of the season.

"The lads have been brilliant and welcomed me into the group, as have the staff, so I want to do my part and help the team survive."
