Academy Manager Garreth Barker recently praised the progress of second year scholar Jerry Yates who recently graduated to the first-team squad.
The striker has been amongst the goals in recent weeks whilst he has also been named as an unused substitute for the first-team games away at Blackpool and the home FA Cup clash with Bournemouth.
“Jerry has been now had the experience of being around the first-team lads and travelling with them which will be of great benefit to him,” Barker recently told Millers Matchday.
“He’s doing well at the moment but he is a very grounded individual who is not getting carried away with anything. He has his feet firmly on the floor and he knows what he has to do if he wants to be involved more often.”
