Rotherham United can confirm a home pre-season friendly with German Bundesliga side 1. FSV Mainz 05.
The Millers will host ‘The O Fives’ at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday 1st August (3pm) in the final pre-season friendly before the Sky Bet Championship curtain raiser against MK Dons on Saturday 8th August.
Mainz finished 11th in the Bundesliga last season, being as high as third in the table during the early stages of the campaign.
The match will be the second home friendly of the pre-season with AESSEAL New York Stadium hosting Premier League Leicester City on Wednesday 29th July.
Tickets are on general sale now at the ticket office and online at www.rotherhamunitedshop.co.uk, with season ticket holders having until 9am on Monday 20th July to claim their seat for this fixture.
