England U17's to face Germany at AESSEAL New York Stadium...

England Under-17s will take on Germany live on BT Sport at Rotherham United on Friday 20 November with a 7:30pm kick off.

The Young Lions, who travel to Portugal later this week for their European Championship first round qualifiers, will play the fixture at The Millers’ AESSEAL New York Stadium.

“In line with the England DNA playing style, it is important that we test ourselves against top opposition and Germany will provide that challenge,” said head coach Steve Cooper.

“It’s an exciting chance for the players to play at a great stadium and in front of a live TV audience – an experience they may have to get used to further down their international journey.

“Hopefully there will be a good crowd there backing us and we can provide another important international learning opportunity for the group.”

Tickets for the game are on sale now and priced at just £3 for adults and £1.50 for children/OAPs.

The last time Rotherham played host to an England v Germany encounter was in April 2014 when Neil Dewsnip’s U18s side came from behind to record an impressive 2-1 victory.

Millers’ Chairman Tony Steward was thrilled at the opportunity to host another international fixture following previous successes with the Three Lions’ men and women’s teams.

"I am delighted that the FA have selected AESSEAL New York Stadium to host another marquee International fixture in their football calendar."

"We are delighted to host England here again and hope we can emulate the success of previous visits. "

"It also gives the people of this town the opportunity to come down and watch the Three Lions’ stars of the future in action right on their doorstep and I am sure that the uptake from the local public here will once again be excellent."
