New home kit released...

Rotherham United are delighted to unveil their new home kit for the 2016/17 season manufactured by Puma Teamwear.

The Millers traditional red and white strip features a hint of yellow in a throwback to the kit worn by the famous 1980/81 team that included the likes of Ronnie Moore, John Breckin, Tony Towner and Rodney Fern.

The new strip sees the club maintain their widely-recognised white sleeves whilst this year’s shirt marks a return for the conventional collar which was last used as recently as the 2009/10 season.

Fans will also have noticed that the club has a new home shirt sponsor with local company Hodge Clemco replacing the long-serving Parkgate Shopping, which will be emblazoned across the front of the shirt.

Commercial Director Steve Coakley was delighted upon seeing the new kit in the flesh at it’s unveiling and was pleased with the retro look of the 2016/17 season strip.

“This season’s home shirt has once again incorporated the traditional and popular features which have now become synonymous with Rotherham United,” he beamed.

“In addition to this, we have added a yellow trim from one of our most popular shirts over the years giving this strip a real retro feel and we are delighted to have Hodge Clemco on board as our new home shirt sponsor, who are thrilled with the look and feel of the 2016/17 kit.

The release for supporters to purchase the shirt is yet to be revealed but is expected to be available in-store and online during the first week of June.

The Millers 2016/17 away kit will be released next week.
