The Academy programme is now fully operational for the new season with the Millers under 18s having played twice this season.
A narrow defeat at home to Mansfield was followed by a heavy loss to Oldham, but Garreth Barker is looking for improvement, which includes playing local opposition as he continues to scour the local area for talent.
“They Academy games and training programme is now fully up and running,” said Garreth
“What we do like to do it play local teams in training games, this can also help with recruitment because we like to sign local players. We will be advertising for local opposition to come and play us in training games at the Academy.”
