Rotherham United would like to congratulate Stephen Baldwin on winning the club’s Millers Mayday Grand Prize draw of £4,000.

The end of season jackpot winner was drawn by Andy Warrington during the Academy’s Under 15s win over Manchester United at AESSEAL New York Stadium to make Millers supporter Stephen £4,000 richer.

Upon receiving the news and double checking his ticket Mr Baldwin was pleasantly surprised to learn that he had bagged the end of season kitty for the first time, having been playing the Mayday since it was launched:

“I’ve been playing since they first started it. I can’t remember what year that was,” he explained.

“I was surprised to find out I’d won it. I only really have a go to help the Millers so anything I get back is just a bonus."

With holiday season fast-approaching and the Millers' home kit release also on the horizon, the lifelong Rotherham supporter already has some of his newly acquired funds earmarked to spend:

“The wife asked me last night where we were going on holiday after the one we’ve already got booked!

“I’ve already got my season ticket for next year so I’ll probably get a new shirt as well. The two daughters will also want one and they’ll be expecting their dad to buy them now!”
