Blackburn Rovers v Norwich City

Norwich travel to Blackburn on Tuesday night as they aim to bolster their play-off prospects. Alex Neil’s visitors are the 5/4 favourites for the three points while the hosts are priced up at 21/10. The draw can be backed at 12/5. The Canaries have only lost once in their last six away matches while Rovers have lost just two of their last 12 at Ewood Park, suggesting this could be a very close encounter. Five of 16 matches at Ewood have been goalless at the break and it is a similar story for Norwich, who have gone into the interval at 0-0 on six occasions from 16 away games. That looks likely again here and would also lead to the second half being the highest scoring looking a decent bet too.

Top Tip: A 0-0 draw at half-time at 2/1

Brentford v Blackpool

Bottom-of-the-table Blackpool travel to Brentford having not won away from Bloomfield Road all season. The Bees are strong favourites at 2/5 while Blackpool are 6/1 for the win, with the draw 10/3. Brentford got back to winning ways by beating Bournemouth 3-1 at Griffin Park on Saturday but prior to that the Bees had only won once in four matches. It’s worth noting that the majority of Brentford’s matches have seen over 2.5 goals and that rates a solid wager here. Brentford striker Andre Gray is the 7/2 favourite in the first goalscorer betting, with Steve Davies the top Blackpool contender at 9/1.

Top Tip: Over 2.5 goals at 4/6

Brighton & Hove Albion v Leeds United

Leeds have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes recently to climb up to 11th in the Sky Bet Championship standings. Neil Redfearn’s men are 3/1 outsiders for victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium, while the hosts are the 10/11 favourites and the draw can be found at 12/5. Leeds are unbeaten in their last four away matches after beating promotion-chasing Middlesbrough at the weekend. Brighton are an inconsistent team having won two, lost two and drawn once in their last five. Young midfielder Alex Mowatt has two in two for Leeds and can be backed at 10/1 to score first. The first goalscorer odds are headed by Brighton forward Leon Best at 11/2.

Top Tip: Alex Mowatt to score first at 10/1

Derby County v Charlton Athletic

Derby hope that they will be able to extend their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table with victory over Charlton. The Rams are odds-on favourites at 8/15, while a win for Charlton is priced at 9/2 with Sky Bet with the draw available at 10/3. Steve McClaren’s Derby have won 10 of 16 home fixtures in the league this season, only losing twice. Charlton’s recent form is impressive though with back-to-back 3-0 victories claimed. The first goalscorer betting is led by in-form Derby striker Darren Bent at 7/2, while Igor Vetokele is the top Charlton contender out at 9/1.

Top Tip: Darren Bent to score first at 7/2

Huddersfield Town v Reading

Huddersfield are the 6/4 favourites for victory at home to Reading on Tuesday night. Visitors Reading are on offer at 9/5 for the victory and the draw can be supported at 23/10. The Royals have only lost once in their last five away matches, drawing two and winning their most recent two outings. Huddersfield, however, are on a three-game run without a win at home, drawing 0-0 against Cardiff at the weekend. James Vaughan has scored three goals in his last four matches for the Terriers and can be backed at 11/2 to open the scoring. His team-mate Nahki Wells heads the first goalscorer betting at 5/1 and the top-priced Reading player is Simon Cox at 6/1.

Top Tip: James Vaughan and Simon Cox both to score at 13/2

Ipswich Town v Birmingham City

Ipswich are the 17/20 favourites for three points at home to Birmingham on Tuesday night. The visitors are on offer at 16/5 and a draw in this fixture is priced at 5/2. Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich have lost two in their last four home matches, drawing and winning once. However, it was just one defeat in 12 matches at Portman Road prior to that so fans of the Tractor Boys don’t need to be too alarmed. Birmingham are out of form with no win in their previous eight games. Blues fans still have faith in Gary Rowett though after eight victories in 11 matches prior to their recent run.

Top Tip: The draw at 5/2

Middlesbrough v Bolton Wanderers

Second-placed Middlesbrough could go back top of the Sky Bet Championship if they win and Derby lose to Charlton on Tuesday night. Boro are favourites for victory at 8/15, while Bolton are priced at 11/2 with the draw at 14/5. Aitor Karanka’s side have only lost once in 13 at the Riverside and that was at the weekend to Leeds where they came up against some brave defending and an in-from goalkeeper. In contrast, Bolton have only won once in five away from the Macron Stadium. Adam Le Fondre has scored three goals in five games since joining Bolton while Patrick Bamford has scored two in three for Boro despite coming off the bench in a couple of those fixtures. Look at those two players in a goalscorer double.

Top Tip: Patrick Bamford and Adam Le Fondre both to score at 8/1

Millwall v Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday are the 6/4 favourites for victory at Millwall on Tuesday night. The struggling Lions can be backed at 19/10 and the draw is on offer at 21/10. Ian Holloway’s Millwall sit three points behind fourth-bottom Rotherham in the final relegation place and could do with the three points. The Lions haven’t won in 10 home matches but Wednesday have lost their last three on the road to give them some hope. There has been one goal or less in five of Millwall’s last six games and under 1.5 goals can be backed at 6/4 in this match.

Top Tip: Under 1.5 goals at 6/4

Watford v Rotherham United

Watford are 4/6 favourites to boost their push for promotion with three points against Rotherham at Vicarage Road. Visitors Rotherham are 4/1 with the draw priced at 14/5 with Sky Bet. The Hornets have won four of their last six home matches but were beaten 3-0 by Norwich at the weekend and Slavisa Jokanovic will want a reaction from his players. The Millers are looking to get themselves away from the relegation zone and will be looking to return to form after defeat at the weekend. Watford duo Troy Deeney and Odion Oghalo can’t be split at 7/2 in the first goalscorer betting. Matt Derbyshire, Conor Sammon and Danny Ward are Rotherham’s top contenders at 9/1.

Top Tip: Troy Deeney and Matt Derbyshire both to score at 15/2

Wigan Athletic v Cardiff City

Wigan manager Malky Mackay comes up against his former club when Cardiff visit the DW Stadium on Tuesday. The Latics find themselves as the 6/5 favourites to win this game despite failing to win in 12 home Sky Bet Championship matches, drawing six of those games. Cardiff can be supported at 23/10 and the draw is on offer at 11/5. The Bluebirds have drawn 0-0 and 1-1 on seven occasions away from home this term while Wigan have drawn by those scorelines five times suggesting a draw and under on the goals is the best way to go.

Top Tip: Draw and under 2.5 goals at 9/4

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Fulham

Wolves are five points off a play-off place ahead of Tuesday night’s meeting with Fulham. Sky Bet make Wolves 4/5 favourites for the win and Fulham are priced up at 100/30. A draw at Molineux is available at 13/5. Wolves have won three of their last five home matches, including the 5-0 thrashing of Rotherham at the weekend. Fulham have failed to win in their last five away games, drawing only once and only scoring twice. The last meeting between these sides was a 3-3 draw in the FA Cup – Fulham won 5-3 on penalties – and a repeat of that scoreline can be backed at 50/1. Wolves striker Benik Afobe has scored four in four for the club since joining from MK Dons and is joint-favourite in the first goalscorer betting at 4/1 with team-mate Nouha Dicko.

Top Tip: Benik Afobe to score first at 4/1

Wednesday

Nottingham Forest v AFC Bournemouth

Nottingham Forest can be backed at 19/10 for a fourth win in five games under the management of Dougie Freedman when AFC Bournemouth arrive at the City Ground. Bournemouth are the 13/10 favourites for the three points and the draw is on offer at 5/2 with Sky Bet. The Cherries have the Sky Bet Championship’s best away record and have only failed to score three times on their travels. Both teams have netted in all bar one of Bournemouth’s last six games and Forest’s previous two matches have produced 13 goals. Expect plenty of entertainment.

Top Tip: Both teams to score in both halves at 12/1
