Rotherham Community Sports Trust attend Armed Forces Day 2014

23 July 2014

Sponsored by

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust were in attendance for the second year at Armed Forces Day. RUCST was warmly welcomed by the general public and dignitaries on the day.

As an added bonus the sun was shining which made it a very pleasant and enjoyable day. Carole Foster, Alternative Curriculum Co-ordinator attended the day to do face painting in which everyone joined in the fun!

We ran a successful Raffle which we would like to thank again all who supported this. The monies will go to a local supporter of Ex Armed Forces.

The lucky raffle winner was Jake Carter, aged 7, who attends St Marys School, Maltby, with number 450 on the Green Ticket. An excited Jake, along with mum and dad, visited The New York Stadium to collect the signed Wembley Winners Football. Rotherham United’s Goal Keeping Legend, Andy Warrington, made the presentation and signed photos and Jakes RUFC shirt.

Well done Jake from all at Rotherham United Community Sports Trust!

Russell Morgan, Jobshop Employment Advisor said “I would again like to thank all who came to have a chat and bought a ticket and yes those who said RUFC should have represented England in the World Cup I agree! An excellent day was had by all.”

Jobshop continues to run every Wednesday from 10:00am-3:00pm at New York Stadium in the Players’ Lounge.
