What is it like at the Dean Court?
Dean Court is a traditional four-sided stadium with a capacity not too dissimilar to the Millers’ own home. However, the stadium dates back to 1910 when the land was donated by the Cooper-Dean family. Despite its origins going back over a century, the stadium was completely rebuilt back in 2001 with the pitch rotated through 90 degrees.
Despite its complete overhaul, the redevelopment continued in 2010 and a new stand built even more recently upon their promotion to the Championship and named after club legend and current member of staff Steve Fletcher.
Where will we be sat?
The Millers fans will be located in half of the Energy Consulting East Stand, which runs down one side of the pitch. This stand is opposite the main stand featuring the dressing rooms and hospitality area but does have adequate facilities for travelling fans as it also accommodates home supporters.
Reports suggest that due to it’s location on the east side of the ground, supporters sat near the front of the stand will suffer from the low sun as the game wears on, so caps and sunglasses are advised.
Where can I eat and drink?
The pubs located within close proximity to the stadium do not allow travelling supporters in, so if you’re hoping to have a drink prior to the game then the closest establishment, the Sir Percy Florence (Wetherspoons) on Christchurch Street is roughly a 10-15 minute walk away, but be advised, football colours are not allowed. Inside the ground it’s the usual array of snacks and drinks.
Where can I park and what’s the postcode for my Sat Nav?
BH7 7AF is the postcode and there is a good sized car park located at the stadium which charges 50p per hour.
Can I get there on the train?
The closest train station is Pokesdown which you can reach with just two changes on the day of the game, leaving Rotherham at 8.50 am. This will get you to the station (around a mile from the ground) at 1.56pm so doesn’t allow much time for delays. Alternatively, it can be done with three changes an hour before, and coming back, a train will leave Pokesdown at 5.26, arriving back in Rotherham at 10.45pm.
Can I get there by bus?
The Supporters Club will be running a coach to Bournemouth, priced at £25.

Will I recognise anyone there?
AFC Bournemouth may have collected a number of admirers over the years but they don’t exactly lead the way in terms of famous fans. Jayne Middlemiss, although originating from roughly 350 miles away in the north east has gone on record to admit her love for the Cherries, whilst Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong is the only other.
Have we been before?
The Millers have played 38 times against Bournemouth altogether so have a history of games at Dean Court. The last one was a 1-0 defeat back in 2009 when Eddie Howe’s side had Ryan Garry to thank for the only goal of the game.

The Millers will be wearing their white away shirt for this fixture.
