Rotherham United Community Sports Trust (RUCST) Celebrates Older People’s Day

Yesterday, RUCST attended the Older People’s Event that was held by the Rotherham Older People’s Forum in honour of Older People’s Day.

At the event RUCST and Mature Millers promoted the different range of sessions that the Trust currently delivers to the older people of Rotherham. Some of these sessions are walking football, discussion groups, fighting 50 sessions and many more.

The event featured a variety of information and activities, with the aim to help older people maintain and improve their health and wellbeing. These activities include tai chi, gentle exercise, tea dancing, exercises, advice session, kurling and boccia.

Mayor John Foden and Mayoress Kath Foden also attended the event and was delighted to join in on fun game of kurling and boccia.
