Jerry joins Harrogate Town on loan...

Rotherham United forward Jerry Yates has joined Harrogate Town on a Youth Loan subject to Football League, FA and National League ratification.

18-year-old Yates has played for the Millers first team on one occasion, coming on as a substitute last season against Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s and also featured on the club’s pre-season tour of Scotland.

Manager Neil Redfearn believes that the chance to join Harrogate Town will benefit the young striker as he continues to push for a first team place at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

“Jerry’s at that point now where he needs games and I think what this opportunity offers him is some competitive game time at a well-run club,” he told www.themillers.co.uk

“It gives us chance to get out and have a look at him in this sort of environment so it’s a good chance for him to go out and continue his development."
