The launch of the Future Stars sessions in October 2014 was a great success. Over 70 children along with their parents attended the session at the indoor football centre in Eastwood. Miller Bear was present to show his support, while also having a grand time participating with the Future Stars kids. The kids and parents alike enjoyed the training session.
After the success of the launch, Rotherham United Community Sports Trust in partnership with Rotherham Football Centre will be running sessions every Saturday in 10 week blocks. Each session is £4.00 or £35.00 for a block of 10 starting this Saturday 10th January, 2015. Different sessions will be held for the 3-11 age groups throughout the morning. 3 - 5 year olds and 5 - 7 year olds will be held at 9:30am – 10:15am, following the 7 -9 year olds and 9 -11 year olds at 10:30am -11:30am.
James Rawlinson, Sports Development Officer said, “ Saturday morning clubs are something we have been looking to provide for some time now and as soon as we began this partnership with the indoor football centre it gave us the perfect opportunity, to see so many young people attend on the first week was amazing and something we never expected. We are now hoping to build on this in the coming weeks and make the clubs a regular occurrence throughout the year.”
