Look out on matchdays for our Random Act of Kindness when we offer lucky supporters free behind the scenes access with Rotherham United. Some examples of our random acts include offering supporters the chance to watch the warm up in the company of our coaching staff at pitch level, meeting the manager prior to the game and on the spot free tickets and prizes.

Ideal for supporters who are attending a match for the first time, the ‘Here to Help’ team will be visible at the main approach to the stadium from New York Way and Don Street and will endeavour to help as much as possible with any queries you may have.

The club provide commentary for blind or partially sighted supporters. The headsets are required to be booked 24 hours in advance of the fixture by emailing email@example.com

AESSEAL New York Stadium
AESSEAL New York Stadium opened its doors for the first time for a pre-season friendly between Rotherham United and Barnsley, which was won 2-1 by the Millers after being behind early on. The first league game saw the Millers beat Burton Albion 3-1 to kick off their promotion-winning 2012/13 season.
Ben Bennett Family East Stand
This stand is ideal for anyone visiting the ground with young children and families and has been specifically designed with their needs in mind. This stand is directly opposite the main stand and offers fantastic views of the match and it is a great place to see what’s going on in the dug outs which are directly opposite. This stand also has a zero tolerance rule on bad behaviour and aggressive behavior in order to make it a great place for families to watch the match and has been designed as such following the guidelines set out in the “Enjoy the Match” Football League campaign. In addition to all this it is also where Miller Bear will be entertaining the crowd during the game. It’s also the only stand in the ground where anyone under 8 years old go for a reduced price, if accompanied by a full paying adult or senior. There are now four extra matchday kiosks on the outside/inside of the stand in full operation to help reduce queuing inside the concourse.
KCM Recycling North Stand
This stand is specifically aimed at attracting our most enthusiastic and vocal fans who like to sing and generally make as much noise as possible behind the goal.
Eric Twigg and Pukka Pies West Stand
This is the main stand of the ground and where you’ll find the main reception, club shop and home ticket office. It’s also where you’re likely to see the players and management team entering the ground. It also has arguably the best views of the pitch and is where the Chairman and other club directors sit.
Mears South Stand
This stand is mainly used for away supporters directly opposite the KCM Recycling North Stand and is where the away ticket office is located. During some fixtures throughout the season where the home demand exceeds away, this stand may then be segregated to accommodate more home supporters into the stadium.
AESSEAL New York Stadium is host to a variety of events, ranging from wedding fayres to after dinner speaking by some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment. AESSEAL New York Stadium has hosted Frank Bruno, Ray Parlour, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lee Sharpe, Dean Saunders, Matt Le Tissier and much more. Comedian Billy Pearce includes New York as one of the dates on his nationwide tour, whilst it is hosting birthday parties, weddings and a real ale festival.
Rotherham United’s traditional colours are red shirts with white sleeves, white shorts and red socks. When the Millers play away from home they wear light blue shirts with dark blue trim. Our third kit, should it be required, is light green.
Our mascot is Miller Bear and you will find him in the north west corner of the ground during the game, and around the outside of the stadium pre-match. Here he lists some top tips for enjoying the match.
“In order to make the most of your trip to AESSEAL New York Stadium, I have come up with some handy tips to ensure you enjoy the match.
• Buy your tickets in advance of the day of the match. That way you’ll get to pick your ideal seats and you’ll save money on the matchday price.
• Try and arrive at the ground at least half an hour before the match; this will allow you to enjoy the pre-match entertainment and queuing times down to a minimum.
• Visit our website to find the answers to any specific questions or queries you might have about visiting AESSEAL New York Stadium, such as directions and parking.
• If you’re coming as a family or with young children we’d recommend the Ben Bennett Family East Stand as that’s where I’ll be entertaining the crowd. Also if you’re under 8 years old you’ll get to come to the game for just £2.
• Keep an eye out for me. I’ll be outside the ground before the game, and then in front of the Ben Bennett family stand during the match.”
You can find out a full club history, including how the Millers were formed, the fact that they made history by playing in the first ever League Cup final, the Division Three Championship winning team of the 80s, and Ronnie Moore’s back-to-back promotions followed by survival in the Championship before nearly going out of business before local businessman Tony Stewart stepped in and saved the club, all by clicking here
