Eric Black talks to Millers Player...

Rotherham United Caretaker Manager Eric Black has confirmed that midfielder Paul Green is in full training again following an ankle injury.

The experienced operator missed the game last Friday against Burnley after a minor ankle problem ruled him out of the televised clash at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The Republic of Ireland international reported back fully fit at that start of this week, and Eric confirmed that he is now in full participation on the training ground as he looks to get himself into contention for the trip to Brentford on October 17th.

“This is a big boost to the squad because Paul Green is a top professional,” Eric told Millers Player.

“He works tirelessly and just when he was getting involved in the team he has tweaked his ankle but he’s fine, he has trained fully. Hopefully he will come through this week in training and be available for the game against Brentford.”

There was further good news on the injury front with Farrend Rawson also taking part in full training this week, after he was withdrawn early from the game with Burnley suffering from cramp.

“Faz has trained fully,” Eric added. “The couple of days away has allowed that to settle down. It was an unusual type of cramp, it is very rare that we see it in that area of the leg but he’ll be fine. He has reported back fully fit and has trained so we are happy with that.”

There is a full interview with Eric on Millers Player now.
