Evans snatches up winger...

Rotherham United have completed the signing of West Ham United youngster Blair Turgott on a youth loan.

The 19-year-old signed on the dotted line this morning and joined his new teammates for his first training session at Parkgate.

The former Colchester United and Bradford City loanee, who made his senior debut for West Ham in their recent cup match with Nottingham Forest, is manager Steve Evans’ second signing of the week, and he was delighted to add him to his squad.

“We have been monitoring the situation closely and we are delighted to add him to our squad,” Evans told www.themillers.co.uk

“The player has recently come back from a loan spell at Colchester United. Joe Dunne the manager at Colchester, who is a man I have tremendous respect for, was desperate to keep him but West Ham had a few injuries and took him back.

“It is no secret that as soon as he joined Colchester their fortunes quickly turned around. He started three out of the four games he was available for and they got two wins during that time.”
